Network Conference & Awards 2019

We had a fantastic time at the 2019 Keep Britain Tidy Network Conference & Awards hosted at the stunning Midland Hotel in Manchester City Centre. During the day we got to hear from Chris Preston of DEFRA on the progress of the National Litter Strategy. Councillor Rabnawaz Akbar gave us an overview of how Manchester is aiming to become Britain's first Tidy City. We heard expert opinions on the issue of Fly-Tipping from Dr Jane Beasley and Jenny Watts. And last but not least Ben Page gave us some very entertaining insight into how real behaviour change is made possible. After a packed day, we got to pop our glad rags on and raise a glass to each other's achievements and successes. It was heartwarming to hear all the stories of how our network continues to go over and above to make Britain's streets a better place to work, live and play.

Award winners

Keep Britain Tidy network joined industry experts, #LitterHeroes and celebrity ambassadors from across the UK to celebrate their successes at the 2019 Keep Britain Tidy network conference awards.

This year the awards were hosted at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, the home of our first ever Tidy City partnership, and a stunning evening was had by all. The awards were hosted by BBC correspondent Dave Guest, and celebrity ambassador and passionate advocate for the Great British countryside Julia Bradbury.
